Our Approach of Yoga as Therapy

All classes of yogamaze are therapeutic. Our therapy sessions tailor these to the health needs of the individual to heal and improved quality of life through the time-honored practice of yoga. Then accordingly we prescribe specific regimens of postures, breathing exercises to deep relaxation, and meditation.

We follow 5 main principles

  • Proper Exercise (Asanas, which is necessary to keep the body healthy, strong, and flexible)
  • Proper Breathing (Pranayama)
  • Proper Relaxation (Savasana)
  • Proper Diet and Nutrition
  • Positive Thinking and Meditation
 

All Yogamaze teachers are well-trained certified yoga instructors and therapists by SVYASA, Bangalore, India. SVYASA is based on evidence-based yoga and we follow our school philosophy. Our teachers also meet the requirement of Yoga Alliance and IAYT.

Our Yoga Therapy Services

We provide one-on-one, individualized, customized yoga therapy sessions that seek to lessen specific chronic conditions, assist in recovery, or manage symptoms associated with long-term illness. 

We offer yoga for back pain, neck pain, arthritis, respiratory disorders, diabetes mellitus, metabolic disorders such as cholesterol problems, mental health conditions, cancer, neurological disorders, and women’s health conditions among others. Our sessions are holistic that include yoga asanas, pranayama, and relaxation/meditation techniques chosen to address the specific requirements. Our teachers are certified yoga therapists who strive to provide you a positive health experience and support.
